M
y name is Gerry A. Nord. On December 21, 1998, I created American Engineering Network, Inc. in Evansville, Indiana. I am a graduate engineer from the University of Evansville and have been working in the machine tool industry designing metal forming machinery since 1976. During these years, I have gained extensive knowledge of complex hydraulic systems and the electronic controls that must be used to control them. I am a certified hydraulic specialist and I am very familiar with motion control hardware, software, and programmable logic controllers.

I have designed frame weldments and cylinders for machine tools ranging in weight from 15,000 pounds to over 1 million pounds, those that develop a force of 10 tons to 4000 tons, and those that are a few feet in length to over 50 feet long.

I have a passion for engineering that borders on, well, let's just say I can get lost in time working on a solution. I enjoy challenging projects, especially those that have been declared impossible by some. My best capabilities are mechanical design of weldments, complex hydraulic systems, and analyzing problems and finding solutions when there doesn't seem to be one.

There is always a solution. Having the strength of character to focus on a path that leads to the solution is what brings about a successful conclusion. American Engineering Network, Inc. will have the strength of character and integrity to work towards the best solutions. I believe that integrity will overcome any challenging issues and lead to successful conclusions, no matter what the obstacles.

Businesses today and in the future must control overhead and must work hard at being small while performing large projects. This is the way in which American Engineering Network, Inc. keeps our competitive juices flowing. Large companies lose control and really do not know what their business is doing, what it is worth, what people are really doing, and most importantly, how efficient the business is working.

Our mission is not only to keep our company growing both financially and in technical capability, but to also demonstrate how the small company is the business of the future by networking with others. Included in that mission is to conduct business with impeccable integrity.

American Engineering Network, Inc. makes decisions based on what is best for the customer and the project. The reason? We don't want a customer just for one project -- we want them for the life of our business. We want you to think of American Engineering Network, Inc. for each and every time you have a problem.
